The construction of the natural gas autonomous unit will start at the beginning of March 2014, in a harmonious architectural design with the surrounding landscape and respecting the ranking Douro World Heritage.

The construction of the unit will involve the placement of a horizontal tank of 30 m3 capacity, two air vaporizers 600 Nm3 / h, installed in surroundings of vineyards, olive trees and traditional walls shale, this unit will have the capacity to supply the entire population of Poiares with natural gas.
